Service Description

Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining is a manufacturing process in which pre-programmed computer software dictates the movement of factory tools and machinery. Our Plasma CNC specializes in cutting metals up to 3/4" thick! In this introductory class you will learn the requirements for the design program, how to set up the machine, and you will watch demos of cutting different materials. You will leave this class with a small cut object, and afterwords you will qualify to use the Plasma CNC during Open Studio Hours (sign up required for reservation of time slot; see FAQ page for more information). All PPE and safety equipment provided. Dress code strictly enforced for your safety and the safety of others (see FAQ page for more details). This class is available for all differently abled persons. We have wheelchair access throughout the shop. Please contact Ashe if you have any needs you are concerned about. Ages 14+ welcome.
