OPEN STUDIO
Our shop is open for Open Studio hours several days each week and, like a video game, each area is unlocked by taking a relevant class or completing a relevant skills test. ​[PLEASE NOTE: Events are NOT qualifying unless otherwise specified.] See our full schedule below.

Use of the shop during this time is membership-based and you must have an active membership in order to use the areas you have unlocked. To do this you must use your website account to book a time slot in advance through the Open Studio schedule .

Blacksmithing Area
To use this area during Open Studio Hours:

Take a Blacksmith 101 class.

Purchase a monthly membership

Reserve your hours (OS- BLACKSMITH) on the schedule before attending! Our shop has a capacity limit and if the shop is full and you come without a reserved time slot, then we will have to ask you to return at a late date. The forge area can accommodate 6 persons at a time.

Bring your own materials or purchase them from us!

NOTE: Our forge is not currently available for forge welding or Damascus making. It is a publicly used forge and the temperature in the forge needs to be set common uses.
Welding Area
To use this area during Open Studio Hours:

Take a MIG or TIG welding class. You will only be able to use the settings for the type of welding you learned.

Purchase a monthly membership

Reserve your hours (OS- WELDING) on the schedule before attending. Our welding area can accommodate 2 welders of either discipline at a time.

Bring your own materials and have a plan!
Plasma CNC Table
To use this area during Open Studio Hours:

Take an Intro to Plasma CNC class.

Purchase a monthly membership

Reserve your hours (OS- PLASMA CNC) on the schedule before attending! Only 1 person is able to book a 2 hour time slot at a time. You will have access to the computer to create your G-code/nc file.
